The project will employ neural network methods to design filter banks for the orientation independent recognition and discrimination of three dimensional objects, such as road vehicles, in a cluttered environment. the work will involve the development and implementation of filtering algorithms for this pattern recognition task and their comparative performance assessment on an existing image database of test imagery. the simulation code will be written in Matlab. Alexnet will be used in the project.
