Sexual Education Autobiography Instruction: For this first part Autobiographical Reflection Project, your task is to describe the history of your sexual education. Sexual education includes both formal sources (i.e., messages received in school) and informal (i.e., information from friends, family, social media, pornography, etc.). In thinking about the messages you received from these sources, consider how they shape your current views, attitudes, and knowledge about human sexuality.
Here are some questions to get you started:

  • What messages did you receive regarding sex growing up? From whom?
  • Were there differences in your formal and informal sexual education?
  • Did you get different messages from people of different genders? If so, why do you think that’s the case?
  • How do you think your sources of information shaped your attitudes about human sexuality?

At the end of your summary, list some questions you hope we address in this course – what do you want to learn?
